he seems to have quite a good inside track on what goes on within the club. Anyway here it is below make of it what you will.
The Board are generally all reasonably elderly and they are all friends. They love the club and it fills their what would be quite vacant lives so they won't relinquish that.
On another thread OR came out against Delia's nephew going on to the Board. I don't think that is necessarily a bad thing because he is young and might(just might) come in with new and fresh ideas. Look no further than Wigan that they have bounced back from League 1 to the Championship by doing exactly that, replacing older with younger Board Members, albeit from the same family.
There needs to be something similar at Norwich because an ageing Board is not conducive to Managing a business competing with multi million earning other football clubs.
The Board Members are not doing this out of badness, as I said, they love the club but they are out of their depth and their ideas are outdated. Mc Nally loves football but he thought he could recognise good player but he cant. Well not good players at Premiership level anyhow.
Mc Nally going is a good thing. Some of the other elderly members on the Board should do likewise. They can still be active within the club if they want but just in a different capacity. They need young an vibrant and dynamic people on the Board. Once that is in place they can then go about appointing the right football people.
They should aim for not going straight back up but aim for going back up in 2 or 3 years roughly when Parachute payments are due to end. That way they could conceivably get a good Boardroom and Management team in place during those years. Sometimes taking your time on such issues could pay dividends
I stuck with Alex Neil because I think he is tactically quite good but dealing with players at this level he is not knowledgeable enough. His days are numbered now and with his Boardroom support now gone then he doesn't have any other support.
On top of that - Despite the support of AN all season. ''Judas'' Martin I guarantee will now stab him in the back with Board members. Self Preservation you see on Martin's part. He is probably the one leaking disgruntlement stories that seem to be getting out at the moment.
I even have a feeling that he will be Managing the team in a couple of years if the current Board stays in place.
