I thought he looked OK but made others (esp. strikers) look bad

By permanently having to stop his runs and get the ball back on his left foot he forced strikers to stop their runs (so they were never running on to crosses) and allowed defenders to get back and in position.
Not knocking him - he always gave 100% and didn't select himself to play right wing.
