needs to double pole switch with a mininum contact gap of 3mm
some older sockets do not provide double pole isolation.
Also, an fcu doesn't protrude as far and the flex entry position is usually flush with the wall which is more sympathetic especially when there isn't enough depth behind the hood for a socket and plug.
