I think people can be stupid and naive.

Especially when the margins for success are so small and the rewards at the top so big. She must crave regaining her success. This email list of new banned subtances would surely have been emailed to her medical team as well as her. She will have a significant entourage. She would have known her lifelong meds might be a problem one day and not ignored such updates. I think she's misjudged and messed up. She's no Lance Armstrong though.
