if an employee admits kissing a 15 year old to you

You are straight on the phone to Legal and HR and you are damn well doing an investigation into what it potentially means and the potential risks to the company.

Your legal team are damn well telling you that an adult kissing a 15 year old is a criminal offence and what the chances of a conviction are and what likely sentences are.

It is a complete no brainer to do this. They will have done this.

They can play the 'we didn't know he was going to plead guilty' card but they would have known the general prospects and most employers would suspend in these circumstances. Have a close read of your employers Employee Handbook. They will have the ability to do it (and for allegations like this you just do it anyway regardless).

Really very odious behaviour.
