What am I missing?

It seems like if relegation happens this year, the long term prospects of Norwich becoming a mid table Premier team drop severely. Say the club goes down and teams like Newcastle, Bournmouth and Swansea survive. Those three clubs now have two transfer windows with huge money to further distance themselves from promoted Championship clubs one year down the road. The huge money doesn't really separate Premier teams from each other, rather it widens the gulf between Premier survivors and Championship promoted teams. Teams coming up will have to have wealthy backers to have any chance which Delia and Michael are not. Where am I going wrong here?
