why not?

Ruddy won't hang around on our bench so if AN is planning on keeping him he'll have to play him sooner or later.

I'm not saying Rudd should be dropped necessarily, but the defence has looked distinctly ropey lately and although he has't been directly responsible he has to shoulder some of the blame as part of the defensive unit.
