if you look at the photos you'll see the thing has a massive f**k off earth spike clamped onto the side so just sledge that into your garden and wire it up to the boxbody and then you won't get lightly toasted. don't think foon reception would be a drama as the panels are aluminium or does that block signals? i dunno. not a problem here though as you can't get a farking phone signal in the back of beyond.
