You expect the table to f**king change during the season

Because not every game is equal. When you play more winnable games (like Villa and Saints at home) you expect to get better results and move up the table. When you have harder games, like the last few, you expect to get worse results and move back down. It only evens out at the end. At various points in the season we'll have easier games than our rivals and hope to move up (and vice versa). Don't overreact to that - keep your eye on the big picture.
