Tbf though, the way the question was worded and posted on here to us, there simply can't be a workable solution.

Perhaps the teacher left of a tiny detail (by accident) or will try squirm out of it tomorrow by adding an additional (tiny) detail that makes it solvable afterall. If they're really unashamed, they might even say the kids should've known the additional omitted detail as it was common sense etc - now that would really say something about the teacher though, so I doubt they're that mean
