Thing is......that place.....

everything just so f**kin easy & straight forward - that's what I liked a lot. Sunday, decided to go out to Charlottenburg Palace market. It opened at 12.00. Go to U-Bahn 50 yards from hotel.......no stupidbarriers/turnstyles - just walk down the stairs onto platform, or get the tardis like lift from street level. So, Sunday - how often does a tube go out to the suburbs? Every 4 mins. On A sunday. I've waited frequently longer at Paddington for the Circle line during rush hour for much longer than 4 minutes.
Efficient, clean, punctual - typical german I guess.

My favourite 2 markets were Potsdammer Platz & Charlottenburg - no coincidence that both of these we visited during the day time. We went to others in the evening - Rothaus, the big Fair one and an absolutely beautiful one round the corner from our hotel called Weihnachts Zauber Gendarmenmarkt and they were great, but just sooo busy that you have to walk around like a penguin
