When we signed him last year, a good mate of mine (hammers fan) thought I was bulls**tting cos he thought he was mint and spurs would have bought him. We talk about football loads and about lower league players and players in the prem, and it beats the usual "We only know gerrard and lampard" club that normally go "who, he's s**t" when they hear a player they don't recognise

He's loved ashton since the day we signed him, I like what west ham have stood for on the football field for years. I think its the perfect club for him and im glad my mate gets to see him in the shirt tomorrow maybe
