I think only Chris Powell and Paul Ince have really made a career of it. Carlton Palmer, Ricky Hill, Les Ferdinand (caretaker), Viv Anderson (player-manager), Brian Stein, Brian Deane all dappled briefly lower leagues or overseas

Paul Parker and Luther Blissett tried non league but again fleetingly.
