Your friend did indeed fight for other people's freedom and to defend the people of Britain. If he is smart enough and able to take risks then he deserves to be rewarded when those risks turn in his favour. He could have equally lost a small fortune today too!

Someone I know in the US called the crash at the weekend and was spot on too. Don't know if or how much he profited from it yet though.
