I read an interesting article about this a while back

Can't remember where. The gist of it was that it's a trade-off - a club like Swansea pay Adidas more than we pay Errea for the shirts, but they benefit from Adidas' brand and probably sell more off the back of that. But all the deals are commercially sensitive so they're never disclosed.
