the money's already gone - Greece will never be able to repay it.
Everybody knows this - the current set of leaders are just trying to 'kick the can down the road' for poloiticval self-interest i.e. keep up the pretence that the loans will eventually be repaid by enabling Greece to keep meeting its short-term repayment schedule (by piling more debt onto them of course) until they are out of office and can't be held accountable by their electorate for their lies.
