It seems like a much-heralded achievement when an English player succeeds in communicating in a foreign language, probably because it is such a rare thing. Yet the media don't bat an eyelid at how many foreign players in the Prem give post-match interviews in fluent English. On the contrary, Pochettino still gets criticism for his perceived slowness in picking up English.
