The club were damned whatever way they went about distributing tickets.

Not saying they are blameless, however consider Boro who seem to have gone the other way by putting tickets on general sale early and having to suspend sales after selling 17k in 4hours.....and there will be people who have got those tickets who haven't been to a Boro match in years, hell even some who have never been.

It must be remembered that the club have little more than a week to sell 38k tickets, more than we have had to sell in one go since at least 2002, and possibly 1985. They are going to want to sure that they can handle that adminastratively / logistically, and trying to balance that with being 'fair' is nigh on impossible.

I feel for those who don't get tickets, however it was clear that if you wanted to guarantee a ticket then you could buy a priority membership, and whilst this could be seen as profiteering by the club this is two weeks after we dropped prices for the Scum match to ?25. The club could quite easily have charged ?40 for that.

As I say, the club could have distributed tickets better in hindsight, however hindsight is a wonderful thing and there were always going to be those who missed out given the demand for tickets. For those who do however, please don't lay all the blame on the club.
