I can't really remember a season before where my perception of where we're heading has...

altered as often as it has during this one.

Wolves away.
Nothing has changed from last season and Hughton has done irreparable damage. A depressing season awaits.

Blackburn home.
Well that felt a bit like the Lambert days.

Brentford away.
We're going to walk this league.

Leeds home.
Ah, maybe Neil doesn't know what he's doing after all.

Middlesbrough away.
Mid-table it is then.

Forest away.
Ok, Neil has to go.

Reading home.
First time I check the league table to see how many points we are above the bottom three.

Millwall home.
Maybe we can just about make the play-offs.

Reading away.
Oh FFS. Season over.

Bournemouth away.
Hail the new Messiah! The man's a genius.

Brentford home.
No, no he isn?t. That was one of the worst home performances I've ever seen. We'll be stuck in this league for 10 years minimum.

Charlton away.
Hello?

Watford away.
Something's definitely happening here.

Ips**t home.
We're soaring majestically into the top two.

Wigan home.
No we're not.
Still can't break well-organised teams down and prone to s**tty home results.

Derby home.
Right, play-offs it is. Get used to it.

Bolton away.
Top two, our name's on it.

Middlesbrough home.
Bugger.

And at present it feels like we're heading into the play-offs with a sort of 'meh' feeling. Grateful to be there yet also disappointed to have missed automatic. Wary of Ips**t, yet excited about a possible Wembley trip.

It really is a funny old game.
