Government fiddles unemployment figures

* they release figures based upon sample sizes.

* 700,000 people are on zero hours contracts.

* Nearly half the number of 'new' jobs created are people going self-employed Self-employed are on average earning a lot less than they were years ago because there is very little new work (it is just being spread around more).

* More than a million people have been sanctioned (so not counted on the unemployment figures).
