not sure all 3 parties could have all done badly

in a first past the post system, someone has to do well.

The Tories should have swept the floor with that election, swing voters shouldn't even have been considering voting for a traditional 'protest' party. The Lib Dems may have ended up with 5 seats fewer, but they did very well IMO by not losing more to either Lab or Cons.

We'll have to agree to disagree I suspect.
