It's a totally fking abject tournament. It always is. Uninspired defensive ste

Played at a stupid time of year every two f**king years.

The Olympics are every 4 years. The World Cup is every 4 years. The European Championship is every 4 years. The Copa America is every 4 years. The Rugby World Cup is every 4 years. The Hockey World Cup is every 4 years.

CAF devalue their own tournament by playing it so regularly - and the days of something different, something truly refreshing (Cameroon 1990, Nigeria 1994, or Senegal 2002) coming out of Africa seem long gone.

Now it's just wanton corruption amongst the administrators, violence in the stadiums, and piss poor fear ridden football on the pitch. And the clubs paying top players s**tloads of money so they can bugger off for a month every 2 years too.
