I said IF that is what is happening its a problem and I was concerned when they came up with the idea because there was a risk it would put off prospective managers who would be concerned about it happening. Iwan is basically saying that he thinks it will put off prospective managers for the same reason. If the best candidate we were able to attract genuinely was Adams in the summer then perhaps it did (although I don't believe he was).

I think it is a bit of a nonsense because we don't need a "football board." the structure was put in place to supposedly stop the situation with Hughton happening again when really all that was needed to do that is the actual board to do their jobs properly and be decisive. We've always had a chief scout and Martin has overseen the academy for ages so either this football board does nothing more than the structure already in place (in which case its a nonsense) or it does infringe on the managers role in which case its a problem. If you ask me its just another way for Mcnally to control an area of the club he previously did not.
