People will now not hear how weak the case against him was and will assume he was guilty but "got away with it".

As if you could arrange a murder with the first taxi driver you met at Cape Town airport! Plus, the guy convicted of pulling the trigger (who has subsequently died) and wasn't eligible for a reduced sentence as a result, contradicted the testimony of the other murderers and ratified dewani's version.

There are no winners here. What a terrible set of circumstances for all concerned.

There should be some focus on how South Africa made a scapegoat of this guy in order to protect their tourist industry. I doubt there would have been such an effort made had this happened in Jo'burg as opposed to the so called "safe" Cape Town (which is actually South Africa's murder capital).
