The McNally Debate

If indeed it is one. My personal view is that his influence and standing at the club was eroded by the failure of Hughton. That enabled Delia and MJW to assert their authority, marginalise McNally, and ultimately give Adams the job full time.

McNally was clearly given a mandate by the club when he was appointed and Gunn's card was marked from that point onwards. His stock rose with Lambert, two successive promotions, three years in the EPL, and the wiping out of the debt. Things have gone into a downward spiral since then and McNally (previously a high profile figure at the club) has been seen only sporadically.

I guess what I am trying to say is that Adams sounds more like a Delia and MJW appointment rather than a McNally one.
