the more you read this the more you realise you have nothing worthewhile whatsoever to say

As usual with such posters the basic assumption is that football is piss easy and if you want to be successful you can - just like that. So if things aren't going well it MUST be because the club/manager/players/everyone is "happy" to not be successful.
Like SCC you never get any realistic suggestion of what we SHOULD be doing differently or why this is obviously a better option.

The fact that no thought goes into it can be found in the fact that SCC agrees with this post, presumably on the simple basis that (like him) it is overwhelmingly critical.

If the post says anything it is that Hughton was right to be be cautious and negative because he inherited a squad from Lambert with no footballing ability but then had problems because the board wanted more attractive football which the squad weren't up to. This is actually the opposite of SCC's whining for the past two years, which was that Hughton was too negative and playing positively was the way to right all the problems (of course now we are playing postively and still struggling - only 5th - THAT is the problem and we should apparently be more negative and physical).

We all want the club to be successful and no-one sensible doubts the board do too but this pretence that it is easy and all you have to do is want it and it magically happens has to stop. It is f***ing difficult and in general the tough truth we have done at least as well as a club of our size should expect, certainly no worse (this isn't an acceptance of 'failure', simply a recognition that however hard you strive for success you more often than not won't achieve it, because more clubs 'fail' than 'succeed' every year).
