definitely
my aunt & uncle are solid traditional labour (mining family, literally at the forefront of the picket lines in the 1980s holding their toddler up to the tv cameras screaming anti-Tory obcenities).
Live in an old pit village between Sheffield & Rotherham. Will probably vote UKIP. A lot of my Chesterfield based family will do so too.
It's the anti-immigration stuff that is striking a big chord, this isn't a traditional right/left wing divide. UKIP is transcending traditional political lines and anyone writing them off as right-wing nutjobs is seriously underestimating what they will do at the election.
