Your arguing with the wrong person on this. They did. It was to do with oil, but the yanks wanted rid of saddam as he wanted rid of the petro dollar system. The yanks couldn't have that as it would devalue their currency and mean they couldn't print to buy. So bye bye saddam.

But yes they should have left saddam in charge to keep the peace. Same as they should have kept gadaffi in charge.
