Well, we are doing well in stage *one* of the process.
We appear to have bought incredibly well, the players have bags of confidence and poor first halves have been turned on their head by outstanding second periods. That all reflects extremely well on both the club and the management team.
Additionally, it isn't in the least bit unreasonable to make comparisons between this season and last, despite what ex-supporters might say having not paid the slightest attention to how we've played so far.
The reasonable comparisons to be made are with the other clubs who came down - Fulham and Cardiff who are both finding life much harder. They lost confidence last season, sacked managers and went down on a real low(unsurprisingly). That low has palpably continued for both of them, whereas Norwich - a team that was driving its supporters insane with boredom for about 18 months - have been utterly transformed. A complete 180 degree turn; the difference is almost rub-your-eyes-in-disbelief ridiculous.
That is not just about playing poorer teams (err Cardiff? ridiculous generalisation), it is about a cultural and psychological transformation which very few clubs are ever able to effect so quickly. Supporters are united in expressing the joy that has come with this remarkable upturn and why shouldn't we?
It may not last, we may yet not go up. Adams might buckle under pressure, so might the team. QPR had a similar start last season and nearly blew it. But let's enjoy it!
Oh, and Hughton at Newcastle had a *ridiculously* better team than anyone else in the division.

- Yes, it's naive. The standard of opposition is generally much, much lower. If the last 2 (NCFC) - Higher Wrather, Sep 17, 15:53:25
- I'd go with that (n/m) (NCFC) - Mickdundee, Sep 17, 17:16:47
