Some bits of the Sarenne were resurfaced for TDF but its still bad. Worst bit is in the
dip between the Sarenne summit and Alpe d'Huez. Its a fast descent off the Sarenne and then it goes into a corner and suddenly you're on a mixture of chalk and gravel. Luckily one of our group tipped us off so we were taking it carefully but 3 guys in front of us lost their back wheels and were lucky to stay upright.
People must crash on that bit every day yet they do nothing about it.
