Did the same trip earlier this year in July
Thorough concur - the marmotte route and in particular off the top of Galibier was incredible. I suspect that a lot of my fond memories are after the fact though, hardest miles I've ever done. Also really enjoyed the balcony road (off Alpe d'Huez) with the views over the Romanche valley.
Was amazed that the tour went over Alpe d'Huez and on to Sarenne, I can only assume that they sort the road out the years that it's on the tour as it was practically a gravel track whilst I was there.
Did you strava the rides that you did?
