I don't think its ok to shoot in intruder per se
The question as I understand it is what would the reasonable man do in his position.
If it is considered reasonable to blindly pump 4 shots through a locked door knowing it is likely to kill the person inside then he will get off. if not then he won't.
I guess the circumstances with gun crime and murders in South Africa may mean that such a reaction is more likely to be considered reasonable than it would be here but i think its still stretching the boundaries of credibility to say that what he did was the way that the reasonable man would have reacted. possibly his gun toting slightly psycho antics may count against him here!
