Whoops...
I was saying, the PL's opposition to redistributing the fines shows their closed shop mentality. Of course no one can object to the money going to charity and I'm glad that it's going to a good cause, but it is normal for fine income to be spent by the responsible authority (like the local council and parking fines). As I say, I don't begrudge the charities their income, but it shows how desperate the PL teams are to assert and maintain their dominant position.
