there were still people banging on about how we should have kept Hughton because he's such a good man and a good manager who would have given us a better chance of promotion.

Perhaps the one thing i regret is that we gave him the chance to walk away with his reputation intact and be able to claim he would have kept us up. To those outside the club of course that sounds credible because we were not in the bottom 3 at the time. Would have been cutting off our nose to spite our face but almost wish we'd let him take us down and then sacked him!
