but cricket takes time to build their replays.

With team sports, I'm guessing perhaps the system has to see round/factor in players, other obstacles (goal frames/wickets etc). It can provide and instant decision on "goal" or "no goal", but there's always a delay in showing the replay. You get multi-angle camera replays first before you get the definitive computer generated replay.

Tennis is a generally a clear view of lines to determine if the ball was in or out. Perhaps it's a simpler system to turn around in the circumstances? I don't know whether that's a correct explanation, but it's my best guess.
