I'd buy that if the alternatives were 'big name' managers

But it was Malky (who if he wasn't a former player, wouldn't be giving quite so many people on this board a hard on) and Zola (who has hardly set the world alight as a manager).

I just don't see Adams as being any worse than those other candidates* in terms of being able to attract players to this club who otherwise wouldn't have joined us.

Heck, he must have quite a good sales pitch for the Board to have taken him on so who knows - he may actually be quite good at selling a vision and playing philosophy...

*I think that shortlist says more about this club and its level of ambition than the actual appointment does.
