Didn't Saints do something a bit similar with Adkins?
It's a cruel world this football business, providing the new guy was an improvement on the loyal champion the previous season I guess in the end the fans who felt it unfair would come round, as for if it were to fail though, probably quite a hostile atmosphere awaits them...
