It's galling enough that we're performing the way we are and struggling

but it's even worse when you've seen it coming a mile off, like quite a few of us have on here.

I wonder how many people think that we should have changed managers last summer, now that they have the benefit of hindsight. I suggested that the board should have considered it last May, several times in fact (although some of the touted replacements were a bit pie in the sky), but many on here considered that to be a ludicrous suggestion at the time.

That's not a "I told you so" because we all make well calculated predictions now and again (and we all have daft opinions), but f**k me has it been depressing watching all of this unravel just as I expected. If anything it has been a little bit worse than that.

I just hope that Hughton can generate one final push and motivate the team to pick up 3/4 more points while using his generally decent big team tactics. On paper, a draw at Fulham would be a great result considering our poor away form, poor record at Craven Cottage and predicament where a loss would leave us right in the s**t. That's how dire it has become, an away draw at one of the bottom three sides when a win in the last four seems unlikely could be seen as a vital result.
