For that price you will be looking at aluminium instead of carbon....
But one option is to go 2nd hand. Check out Trek or Giant, both do great road bikes and by going 2nd hand you may pick up a carbon model for that price, if doing sportive and general long distance you want comfort and you won't go far wrong with a trek Domane 4.0 but again it will be 2nd hand for that price.
