His touch on Saturday certainly wasn't 'wonky'

I'll defend him to the hilt.

I'm not saying he's perfect by any stretch and some areas of his game clearly need work.

But if you're an off the shoulder striker/18 yard box player who's had about 5 genuine goal scoring chances all season then I'm certainly not going to write him off.

Under a more attack minded manager who works out how to get the best out of him he'll be a different player.
