I was born in Ipswich, grew up there. When it came time to pick a team...

my parents bought me a Panini 78 album.

I said to myself that the first team I completed I would support. It was very close between Norwich and Nottingham Forest but Roger Hansbury saved the day.

The same summer we went on holiday to Corton and Martin Peters was running a soccer school and he was such a lovely chap that sealed the deal.

I had to endure loads of abuse at school obviously, although there were just as many Liverpool fans around in those days. I had a NCFC schoolbag and it would often get kicked and spat on but it just made my love for the club even stronger.
