It doesn't annoy me

What annoys me is it being used to justify keeping him in the job this season when all evidence continues to suggest that it was indeed a flattering league placing.

If we'd finished 8th or 9th and been 15 points clear of the relegation places then that would be an astonishing achievement. As it is we avoided relegation quite narrowly and the tightness of the league meant we were able to finish in a higher than expected league position for a team who nearly got relegated.

Same will happen this year. Maybe Bruce, poyet and Pulis aside can it honestly be said any of the managers of the teams from 10th downwards are doing a good job? One of those teams will finish 10th but they will do so because they are the best of the sh*t not because they've had a great season.
