I echo what you've said in your post too. It's the reality of a monopolised league where the big boys have built on their monopoly for the past two decades of silly money for the dominant few. But I'd still rather be a small fish in the biggest pond than an average sized fish in a stagnant backwater overpopulated with many other average sized fish fighting to get to better waters. If we're bothered by the 'nice' tag now, just be grateful we're one of twenty British clubs the whole world gives a f**k about. Drop down and we'll be as anonymous as all the other also-rans. And there'd be no guarantee of a bounceback, regardless of the bigger parachutes. Bugger that: fight for what we've got.
