writing off our players as not good enough to do anything but hoof it against a team with 9 losses from their previous 10 is pretty defeatist. We've seen Wes unlock defences in the past and, given a bit of freedom, he still could, especially with Hooper or Ricky's movement in front of him. My point is, if Hughton genuinely wants to improve the style of play and keep the ball more he needs to make a concerted effort to find a way of doing this effectively, rather than abandoning it because the opposition turn up with 5 in midfield, a Premiership manager should be able to deal with this.
