I think it's pretty simple really

However much we may be trying to change our approach, it doesn't convince and hasn't at any point this season. We're not going to suddenly start scoring goals, because the key players in this side just aren't suited by Hughton and Calderwood's way.

So we'll keeo spluttering, we'll keep misfiring, we might scramble our way to safety... or we might not. But we're not going to get the best out of the signings we made at all - and we're actually not going to progress under this management team.

Stop, start, stop, start, stop, start. That's all we do - and Hughton's approach makes that all the more likely, it seems to me. Nice guy, did the job that was asked of him last season, but it's time for a change IMO. Hughton out, Mackay in. The latter has done a much better job on an awful lot less, and can fit straight in here no problem.
