Stick it in an ISA = no tax on the interest

2% is only 1.6% if you pay 20% income tax; it's only 1.2% if you pay 40% income tax. But in an ISA, 2% is 2%. You can GIYLF for best rates e.g. moneysupermarket, thisismoney etc or look at articles like User Posted Link
