We've returned to the top division on footballing merit, not a buy-out.

We've stayed up so far without huge monetary input and all that despite nearly going bankrupt at our lowest point. We didn't have to default on creditors and be bought at a ludicrously low price by a company or businessman with no genuine interest in the club or city. So as a result I would be very unwilling to see us "sink like a stone" just because the tactics are perceived to be defensive and we want it all to be interesting again.

I like supporting a top division team, as it was when I grew up and subsequently for a long time thereafter. Much as I enjoyed Charlton away in spring 2010, I don't want to go back to that kind of "interesting".
