I'm not even really sure what the argument is about any more

Marshall shouldn't have kicked it out, but he did.

Leroy shouldn't have put it in, but he did.

The ref shouldn't have disallowed it, but he did.

Lots of things that shouldn't have happened. but they did.

No-one thinks we should have won the game because of it, no-one thinks the outcome was wrong.

Aren't we now at a point where we can all happily move on?
