That's not how I remember the first goal

It came down the left & McBride got away from Francis as it happens. I haven't seen any replays, so Helveg could have lost the ball prior to that of course.

My impression was that Francis drifted in and out that game - if the ball came near him, fine; otherwise he didn't really put himself about - and with Holt on the pitch for most of it, that was suicidal.

It is true, however, that one cannot judge on one game alone, but people have been saying this about Francis since the New Year.
