this is an issue with 'inside-out wingers'

if you have wingers who are going to cut inside nearly all the time opponents (like Villa on saturday) will just clog the middle of the pitch, making it harder to play nthe ball through that area.
If your wingers are a threat to get outside it stretches the defence and should create more space in the central areas.
